more details!
ideas about Margaret: she might like the "Twilight" series (3 books about teenage vampires). She is into all sports and plays ice hockey; she likes female singers like Beyonce, also eminem; she would love any "Sing Star" DVDs - sort of karaoke for kids, and low-carb food, especially strawberries and blueberries. items to go to Carmel by Sunday 362-0965 180 Elm st.
Heather needs a crib, lamps, scatter rugs, kitchen stuff, toys , table ( she has a card table, no chairs) bedding, kitchen stuff
the boy is a big 18 months. Estelle Burgess is 362-3092 , burgfam12@comcast.net and she is finding out if she can get the
key from Heather, who works, Heather barely got the apartment and needs some furnishings. You can either drop off stuff with Jan at the Health food store or call Estelle directly.

Heartworks Minutes for the December 9, 2008 Meeting
Present: Dagny, Amy, Jan, Carmel, Lisa
Old Business – Thanks to everyone who helped in any way because the Clothes Drive was a huge success. Afterwards we got an email from Dee in Poultney, single mom , who has requested some jackets, boots for her and her kids and several people have contributed.
Thanks to the many in Heartworks who attended Grace’s cause dinner at the Wife. It was a great community event and the support was outstanding.
We received a request from Judy Hougton of BBA for some clothes for a mom and her 4 kids and we already gave them 3 bags and a gift card to Carters.
New Business - We have 3 tasks for this month and we are hoping to take care of them sooner than later.
1- We got word that there is a single Mom, Heather, who recently got an apartment and she and her 18 month boy only have a bed. They are in need and they need EVERYTHING that goes in a home. Jan has offered to take things at the Health food store and I have contacted Estelle Burgess and asked what we can do. We are hoping with all the people involved in Heartworks that we can set her up!
2 - Margaret is a 12 year old girl from E. Dorset and she has been diagnosed with juvenile diabetes and we are going to put together a gift basket with gas cards and some stuff that she would like. Amy P. is going to find out what Margaret would like and they are in need of gas cards, Shaws ,5, 10 20$ whatever you can, if at all. Or just leave a card with a message of hope. We would like to put together this basket on Sunday and it will be given to her Monday. Carmel Furtado will collect items at her house on 180 Elm street.
There are a couple of people that have diabetic kids that have contacted Nancy ( the Mom) already and she is in need of support and advice with nutrition. We were thinking maybe Julie Hand, nutritionist in town, may help.
3 – Dee from Poultney is receiving a bag from us and all that is missing are 2 jackets for her kids , sizes 16-18.
Carmel Furtado is taking on getting a non-profit status for us so we can open an account and receive more money so we can give away more!
Our Next Meeting is January 25th 5pm and this is our year anniversary of the beginning of Heartworks…. Jan is graciously making a cake! And we will have Amy write an article about “A Year in Heartworks” all that we have done… and it has been great – we will update people on what we have done and how ,as this new group, we can continue to help in whatever ways that we can!
I am off to Rhode Island to celebrate Amy ( founder of RI Heartworks, 40th Birthday and in her honor, all her friends and family had to do “acts of kindness” or contribute to her Heartworks group.
Please pick something to participate in and more will found out in the coming days of what you can contribute to Heather’s place.
So, in this time of giving, and love , family, friendship ….. please help either Heather, Margaret, Dee, or all 3.
Happy Holidays!

minutes of the Oct 19th Meeting Heartworks
Minutes for Heartworks 10/19/08
People in attendance:
Lisa Kelly, Carmel Furtado, Missy Reece, Alex Sands, Victoria Silsby, Karen Viglas, Maralise Boynton, Julie Ring, Erin Kauffman and Jan Kelley. Honorary members under the age of 4 Ella (who shared a cracker, well done Ella) Oliver (who loves to read, despite his sore little bum), and Robin (who smiled for an entire hour straight…. sigh!).
First Lisa shared the great news over an array of delightful appies that we raised $300 dollars at the bakesale!
Tremendous Thank you to everyone from Heartworks who so generously contributed their goodies and time for both days at the bake sale. Also, a GIANT thanks to BBA and Kathi Bierwirth for handing us those stellar time slots to work our fundraising magic!
That brings our total funds raised to $500. We have donated $100 to the Grace Sherwood cause, $150 to Julie for her Autism Marathon (Again, way to go JULIE), and have $250 left. Below we’ve outlined how we intend to spend the rest of this money.
First official order of business: November 15th clothing Drive
Clothes from the Heart:
Carmel has begun the press (journal, guide, local schools etc) to request donations for the drive. She is also looking within the Heartworks group for any winter clothes (adult and children) in good condition and washed prior to drop off.
Clothes can be dropped off at New Morning to Jan, Lisa Kelly in Winhall or Carmel at Leaves of Gold.
***Does anyone have any connections with GAP or JOCKEY? We would love to gather underwear and socks for the drive as well. For obvious reasons we cannot accept these items used (yuck).
*Lisa will check with Maple Street about using the gym for a sorting night (November 5th at 5:30) as well as for our November meeting Wednesday November 19th.
Carmel suggested we begin inviting families in need to Clothes from the Heart November 1st. Carmel is going to advertise through the Food Cupboard, contact local schools, as well as notify PAVE. We want to target the appropriate group so that the clothes are given to families that truly need them. (discussion about the Rutland Women’s Shelter as a possible contact as well, however concern about running short on clothes was voiced)
We also discussed the idea about asking folks who plan to attend the clothes drive to bring a bag for their items, keeping it green.
Second order of Business:
Stroller needed!
Karen Viglas brought up a friend in need. Mel Young and husband Mike Wilcox (Of the famous Wilcox Dairy) are expecting twins any day now. Mel and Mike have a 20 something month old, and are a bit overwhelmed at the idea of having twins. Her dream is to have a double stroller with a stand in the back for her older child (it doubles as a seat). However, they are super pricey and they are unable to afford one. Her friends thought that Heartworks could help with this purchase. We discussed earmarking $200 from our funds for the stroller as a way to help Mel and Mike’s growing family. We also thought about asking everyone to donate $5 towards the stroller. Lisa and Karen will check out pricing online and will research if any are for sale on EBAY.
Third Order of Business:
Helping Hope
Hope Severance, a local mother of three is battling breast cancer. This past May, Hope found out the cancer had metastasized to her bone, liver and lungs. She is not able to work right now, and is undergoing radiation and chemotherapy treatments. We would like to help Hope and ease the burden that has been placed on the Severence family. Below are a few ways for you to make a difference.
1. Hope’s friend Ellen Goepel created a meal calendar. If that sounds like something you’d like to help with, go to www.huntcal.com find: My calendar and plug in:
(Capital for H and S )
HopeSev
Hope
2. Heartworks discussed pulling together a basket to drop off with Gift cards for gas, Restaurants, plus “comfort” donations that might help Hope feel pampered as she is very uncomfortable. Some ideas put forth were slippers, pajamas, bath gels etc. She is about 5’3, but I am not sure of her weight at this point. Drop off any items at New Morning with Jan for us to pull together at our next meeting.
3. One thing I forgot to mention at the meeting is that Ellen Goepel requested $ for Hope to continue her acupuncture treatments. The treatments help Hope with her discomfort from the cancer. The goal is to give Hope two sessions per week. The Severance’s need money for the co-pays which are $20 per session, or $40 per week. The acupuncture seems to help a tremendous amount. If you can help to offset this cost with a monetary donation, that would be terrific. I am assuming a check made out to the Severence’s will suffice.
Final order of business: Stacy Hunter (November 7th) and Wanda Knowles (November 5th) are both undergoing surgery. Carmel will be sending off a card from Heartworks to wish them both well.
Green Tip for the Month:
Insulate your water heater. Reasearch has shown this benefits your home and the environment on multiple levels. Go to www.thegreenguide.com for more information
Lisa will be following up with a few emails that include contact information to continue support for Grace Sherwood and her family.
Last but not least….MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR HEARTWORKS NEXT MEETING:
NOVEMBER 19th
TIME: 5:30
Give Lisa a heads up if you plan to attend so she can delegate snack people
ps. thanks for doing the minutes to Julie Ring...

September Meeting Minutes
Minutes for Heartworks meeting 9/29/08
People in attendance: Jan, Missy, Julie, Julie and Lisa
Discussed the Mission statement of Heartworks:
OUR MISSION STATEMENT
The mission of Heartworks is to create opportunities for women to gather for their own spiritual and emotional growth and to generate acts of kindness in the community and throughout the world. We believe that through giving to others we open ourselves to more fulfilling lives, deeper relationships and the feeling of God in our hearts.
Check out the amazing new website launched this month www.njheartworks.org
First order of Business:
Clothing Drive- Carmel Furtado had made a suggestion for a winter specific clothing drive at the last meeting. We have put Carmel’s fantastic idea into action.
Clothes From the Heart
Winter clothes (all sizes welcome) washed and in good condition (no tears, rips, or stains)
Collection sites:
-Jan at New Morning Foods on Depot Street
-Carmel Furtado at Leaves of Gold on Elm Street
-Maple Street School
Event Date: NOVEMBER 15th
Clothes must be dropped off by November 9th to be sorted
Ideas for Clothes drive: separate by sex as well as items (pants, coats, etc)
We will need Tables and possibly racks to set up clothes
Bags for people to take home items. (Let’s consider asking that people bring their own bags to keep it green and reuse) We will iron out details at next meeting.
We need a PR person to advertise the event in the Guide, Herald and the Journal
We will also need to set up a schedule to work the event throughout the day.
Second order of business:
Kids bake Sale:
Lisa would like to begin having some youth based functions and incorporate them into our mission. The idea is to start kids off with a sense of balance and a generous heart.
Mid October Bake sale:
Site possibilities:
Shaw’s
BBA
Julie is discussing Shaw’s as a site possibility with general manager of Shaw’s.
After we get the space we will pick a day and contact everyone for bake sale items and to sign up to work the tables with their kids.
As the information becomes concrete it will be shared
Third Order of Business:
Julie Crosler is running in a marathon to raise money and awareness for Autism (GO JULIE!) On October 25th she will tackle the OAR (Organization For Autism Research) Run For Autism in Washington DC. Heartworks is donating $100 from the money they raised at last Springs Farm day to OAR in honor of Julie’s run. To donate on Julie’s behalf checks can be made out to OAR and mailed to Julie Crosler P.O Box 191 Arlington VT 05250
If you would like more information about the event or to learn more about Autism, please feel free to contact Julie directly at: jatraen@hotmail.com
Fourth order of business:
Grace Sherwoods cause. Many people have been raising awareness to Grace’s medical needs as she has two fundraising benefits on her behalf. At this point Heartworks is happy to donate $100 that was earned from our farm day to support Grace’s care. To get more information about donating to Grace’s cause please contact Norene Peck at 362-4254.
And Finally…..
The issue came up how do we follow up with friends and folks in town that we have supported. We feel that the person/s who initiated contact with an individual should follow up as they feel is necessary. Any further input about this is welcome.
Green tip for the Month: Visit, www.greencycle.org. Green cycle is an online trade group where you can give away items to neighbors instead of tossing them. As they say, one persons junk is another persons treasure. Thanks Stacy!
MARK YOUR CALENDAR FOR HEARTWORKS NEXT MEETING:
October 19th
Time 5:00
Bring an appetizer to share and a friend! We’d love to make this next gathering a more social and meaningful event. Lisa is excited to expand on the mission statement and share the motivations that inspired Megan and the grass roots of this organization.

Heartworks Monthly Meeting
August 27, 2008
In Attendance:
Lisa
Margot
Victoria
Carmel
Julie
Karen
Lisa called the meeting to order at 7:35 pm. An open discussion followed about the group’s organization with a focus on the following:
1. What is the best day and time to hold monthly meetings?
• Would a breakfast - morning meeting be more convenient for some members?
• Would 6pm instead or 7 or 7:30 be better for evening meetings?
• What day of the week works best?
• Should the day and time vary from month to month?
2. How best can we communicate with members? Many people want to be a part of Heartworks, but can’t attend meetings.
• Should we email members and/or should we have a blogspot?
• What technology is out there to best communicate to members? Blogspot? Constant Contact?
• What works for everyone?
3. Meeting formats and membership.
• Meetings should focus and follow topics such as:
Old/New Business
Treasurer’s Report
Environment
On Going Projects
Personal Space
Closing Moment
• Suggestion made that 2-3 members are responsible for each topic. Responsibility is divided and not left to just one person.
• Meeting agendas should be emailed and/or posted to blogspot before meeting.
• Heartworks could also have a kids group. The power of kids is great.
• Not every member should feel they have to help with every cause. Participation is not about the amount, it’s about the act.
4. An important realization was made that Heartworks has still reached out and assisted people without holding meetings.
• Gift Baskets and cards have been sent to people.
• Gardens have been weeded.
• Sympathy plants have been given to those grieving.
5. How should we stay in touch and follow up with recipients after Heartworks initially helps someone? How should we go forward and help the person and stay in touch with them after the first contact? There is a feeling that we lose touch and/or the person still needs our help. Here is an update on some of the people we have helped:
• Megan is in remission
• Scotty and Paul sadly passed away
• Brian is still fighting his courageous battle and just started eating
• Kami ???
• Gift basket for Melissa Reece
6. Heartworks is about giving, but also learning to receive and ask for help. Carmel discussed a book titled Year of Magical Thinking in which the point is made that if you ask people if they want something they will say no, but if you pour a cup of tea and put it in front of them they will drink it. We are not taught to ask for help; people find it awkward and embarrassing to ask. There are probably many community members that we could help and even Heartworks members, but they go under the radar because they don’t know how to ask for help.
7. A Personal Space time followed. Here is where members are given the opportunity to say what’s going on in their lives that may be of interest to others.
• Margot is having an awesome tag sale Saturday, August 30, 2008 from 8 – 1.
• Julie will be participating is a Marathon for Autism on October 23. Julie’s friend lost a twin autistic child to a drowning accident. If anyone wants to contribute to her fund raising efforts, that would be great. Julie has to raise $500.
Julie Crosier is jatraen@hotmail.com
• Lisa is participating in a triathlon for the Leukemia and Lymphoma Society. She is holding a fundraiser at the Perfect Wife on September 6th starting at 8pm. There will be a band, Raffle and Silent Auction.
8. New Business:
• Carmel has an idea to collect and distribute clothes to families. Heartworks could organize the Community Clothes Cupboard. Based on the food cupboard, we could hold a clothes giveaway once a season. A significant amount of advertising a spreading the word to all area communities would be essential along with securing a central place to hold the give away. Carmel will look into some of the preliminaries of what such an event would entail. It looks like November 8th is the date and it will be held in the Maple street gymnasium.
• A local mother’s child, Adrianne, who attends MEMS is suffering from a rare disease. Norene Peck has taken on coordinating assistance to this cause and is planning a fundraiser. The question remains as to how Heartworks could help. Lisa will speak w/ Norene to see if we can help in any way. Otherwise, we will have a meeting Sept . 28th, send me some feedback on times. We will update the blog and let you know what the meeting will focus on – most likely – the CLOTHES give-a-way ( we need a catchy title)
A huge thanks to everyone who contributed the a great basket that went to Grace. Thanks Karen V. for organizing that one…
Respectfully submitted,
Victoria Silsby for Lisa Kelly

September Meeting
September 28th there will be a meeting at 6:30pm.
Please send me any ideas you may have ahead of time
as to what we could do as a GROUP for Graces Cause.
also, we will be talking about our CLOTHES DRIVE this fall.
thanks, Lisa

JUNE 1ST MEETING
Heartworks
Minutes of June 1, 2008
Present: Lisa Kelly, Teresa Slocumb, Liz Williams and Irene Nadler.
Old Business
Lisa began our meeting by discussing Farm Day. As our first fund raiser it was a huge success and it also provided a piece of positive PR for Heartworks... Many families came and they enjoyed the animals, food, etc. Children ran the lemonade stand and we had tons of baked goods available. All proceeds from the event were based on donations from the families that attended and our grand total was $225.00. Thank you Julie!
One of our members, Victoria Silsby’s father passed away this week and our condolescences go out to her and her family. We will be sending plants in his memory. Victoria works at The Battenkill Realty and the office is making a donation to Heartworks in her father’s name.
Unfortunately, Paul Schwindt was one of the individuals given a basket by Heartworks and he passed away this week. On the other hand, Brian is at Mt. Sinai for an extended period receiving a stem cell replacement. Keep him in our positive thoughts.
Amy, Susan, Blake and Lisa went to the Bromley View Inn to assist with gardening for Kami and we delivered a basket to her . Kami has expressed her appreciation and would love additional gardening assistance once a month.
New Business
• Check with Kami to see what she needs specifically and we will set up a schedule for helping her.
• Lisa discussed a new person Kristen, who suffered a TIA and has three young children. Kristen wanted to set up a small vegetable garden for her family to use. Lisa, Liz and Teresa will look at the area and decide what needs to be done.
• Teresa and Liz brought up the possibility of a Motorcycle Ride as a fund raiser for our group. To be continued.
• Race for the Cure- we should be represented as a group for the walk.
• We are trying to figure out whether Wednesday or Sunday meetings work better for people. Please let Lisa know if you have a preference or should we alternate nights.
• Next meeting is Sunday, June 29th.

Minutes of the April 27th Heartworks Meeting
Present : Julie Crosier, Karen Viglas, Melissa Reece, Maralise Boynton,
Katie Pinkus, Margo Smithwick, Debbie Post, Julie Pierce, Sandy Peters,
Wanda Knowles, Victoria Silsby, Lisa Kelly
Opened with a guided meditation by Debbie.
Old business: mentioned that our “anonymous giving” went well, had some displays of our potted plants and postcards from Craft day at Stacy’s house.
Dagny had received a thank you from a family that we gave a stone to.
We decided that not enough was dropped off with Victoria for Scotty.
Updated that Paul S. is still at Mt. Sinai but doing well. Brian G. is at Mt. Sinai and at the beginning of his chemo / bone marrow transplant. Terry, who we sent cds is back in the hospital. And we are going to do more for Scotty M.
New business: we are doing a fundraiser for Heartworks to get some money so we can do more giving to people. Family Farm Day will be held at Julie and Doug Crosier’s farm in W. Arlington on May 17th. A flyer will follow with more details. We had a sign up go around for baked goods, any craft tables that people want to have that day, clean-up, lunch serving, and tables ( all set with the tables). It is such a great opportunity for families to come and have a blast with their kids. More to follow – but thanks to all who gave $5.00. Our way to help others is to be able to give in different ways. The NJ heartworks group has a large budget from various fundraisers. We are at the beginning of this all.
Katie Pinkus mentioned that a patient Kami went through Leukemia at a younger age and just had a double mastectomy and is having a real hard time. Katie talked to her last night and she is overwhelmed and touched by us wanting to help. More will be revealed on how we help her, basket, food, etc. But she loves her gardens and can’t get out to do it all so we may determine a day real soon to go up and help her gardening.
Julie P. brought up maybe doing more for the New Orleans community, who is very much still in need.
* We missed Gail and her GREEN TIP! And I missed Irene and her supreme minute-taking ability. Next meeting- June 1st. Thanks for everyone for being a part of this all!

minutes of march meeting
Heartworks
Minutes of March 26, 2008
Present: Julie Crosier, Carmel Furtado, Stacy Gates, Lisa Kelly, Blake Moran, Irene Nadler, Victoria Silsby, Margo Smithwick, Dagny St. John, Gail Suitor.
Old Business
Lisa began the meeting by talking about the two care packages that were put together and mailed for Paul and Brian. Although we received many items for the packages, it seems to be more effective when we collect items directly at our meetings. Lisa passed along via email the letter from Brian thanking everyone for their support. Brian will be at Mount Sinai for an extended period receiving a full bone marrow treatment. The baby package for Cooper is being delivered by Maralise and to date Missy has enough food from friends and family.
Lisa met with her friends and counterparts to Heartworks in New Jersey this past weekend and they discussed the importance of getting permission from an individual before bringing it for consideration to our group. Confidentiality is of the utmost importance.
New Business
• Dagny began a discussion on bereavement since a daughter (26 years old), of a friend of hers had passed away this week. Gail shared that when her Mother died she was given two plants, one delicate to symbolize how fragile life is and a hardy plant that keeps on living to remind us of the person who passed away. We decided this would be an excellent Heartwork’s bereavement gift. Stacy volunteered her studio at 93 Hard Farm Rd. Manchester, on April 6th from 2-5pm as Craft and Supply Day. Blake suggested we also make napkins as something to include in our baskets. Stacy has most supplies, but we should bring the following: potting soil, small pots and plant cuttings.
• We also discussed the making of cards and a T shirt with a Heartworks logo created by kids. This could help to create a name for ourselves if we had a stand at the local Farmers Market.
• Victoria mentioned having an auction at our meetings, where we would bring a small item for an auction.
• It was decided that at our next meeting, everyone should donate $ 5.00 to offset some of our expenses. But, “if you can’t swing it, don’t bring it.”
• Victoria shared that Scotty needs further chemo treatments and would be traveling to the hospital. He is barely eating and relies on Ensure. We decided to provide gas cards and Ensure. Anyone interested in helping, please refer to action item below for further information.
• Julie volunteered her “farm” as a fund raiser in May. She has many animals and a beautiful setting in Arlington. We would need to help with the activities etc. further discussion next month. Margo will do a flier for the event.
For Information
March 29th Earth Hour –turn off the lights from 8-9pm
April 3rd Swanky Bowl at southern VT Art Center
April 5th Empty Bowls at Long Trail to support Community Outreach Program
April 22nd Earth Day

Minutes of the Feb 27th Meeting
Heartworks
Minutes of February 27, 2008
Present: Maralise Boynton,Carmel Furtado, Stacy Gates, Lisa Kelly, Wanda Knowles, Irene Nadler, Ellen Ogden, Julie Pierce, Katie Pinkus, Victoria Silsby, Margo Smithwick.
Old Business
Lisa began the meeting by thanking everyone for their support throughout the month. Although people may not be available to attend every meeting, they are still responding to those in need via our email requests.
Megan, from Londonderry, has been on chemo; however the results indicate that it will be a rough road. She was most appreciative of the food, gas cards and diapers. At this time she is not seeking any further help.
Terry Brady is out of the hospital and home. The results are very good.
New Business
Stacy Gates shared the cloth post cards she made for various occasions throughout the year. She is willing to share her talents with us in her studio, so that we might make our own "Heartworks" thank you or get well cards. More to follow…
Brian Gawlik is a technology teacher at Burr and Burton and he has had leukemia for ten years. He is single, in his 40’s and always there for everyone else when they need him. Lisa suggested we send him a care package with computer related items or things to read etc.
Paul Schwindt works at Finn and Stone and he also has been diagnosed with leukemia. He is an avid bicyclist and Lisa suggested sending a care package to him as well.
We discussed Pam Casey last meeting and have since found out that her child’s liver tumor has been removed, but the youngster will need bone marrow treatment. It was suggested that gas cards would be a valued necessity. Anyone interested in giving a gas card can get it to Lisa and she will pass it along to Kathi Bierwith and on to Pam.
Victoria shared that Tina and Scotty Maier might need some occasional help with meals. Scotty has cancer and they are elderly and could use assistance. Victoria will follow up on this and let us know.
Maralise shared that Missy Coleman gave birth to their new son "Cooper". Missy is one of our members and we decided to assist with meals and put together a special baby package for Cooper.
Our focus for this month will be Brian, Paul and Missy. Contributions for our care packages and baby items may be dropped off at Carmel’s shop at 180 Elm St. in Manchester. Anyone interested in putting the gift packages together, we will meet at 4:00 on March 16th at 180 Elm St.
Lisa said Heartworks can be an opportunity to help our own members as well by highlighting new ventures or networking with others. Margo Smithwick is a photographer who worked for the Rutland Herald and is now opening her own studio. Her specialty is children and families. She will shoot at her studio or on location. 297-3372
Lisa pointed out that the focus of Heartworks is primarily to help others in our local communities, however she suggested it might also be worthwhile to look at things more globally. Lisa expressed her feelings about her recent trip to New Orleans and the lack of progress that has been made in that area. A discussion focused on getting the message out to more people about the severity of the situation in New Orleans.
Action Items
Victoria will check with Tina about meals.
Irene will call Kate Cass from Neighbor to Neighbor about senior citizens.
Katie will check with Vinny about how we can help.
Would everyone forward their phone number to Lisa in case we need it.

Another situation we discussed involved Pam who is an athletic trainer at Burr and Burton. Her 7 month old son has a tumor on the liver and stomach. There is also a two year old child in the family. Lisa will be in touch with Kathi Bierwirth who is in contact with Pam’s sister in order to determine what things or support is needed. That information will be forthcoming from Lisa via email so that we can sign up to help.
Wanda also mentioned a gentleman named Leonard whose home and contents were destroyed in a fire. She will share further information at our next meeting.
If I have misspelled anyone’s name or left someone out please contact me.
We are working on a list of members with emails and phone numbers. Lisa also plans to get a website up and running that will facilitate communication.

We were all encouraged to share any situations we were aware of that might need the assistance of this group. Stacy Hunter is an acquaintance of Megan, a 22 year old woman from Londonderry, who is suffering from ovarian cancer. She also has a 9 month old little boy. We discussed many possibilities for providing assistance, including food, baby supplies, gas cards for travel to chemo treatments, etc. The following is Stacy Hunter’s phone number and email if you need to reach her for information about Megan or to relay info to Megan: 362-4754 or stacymakeup@comcast.net
Megan lives at 173 Rte 11 Londonderry (apartment) 824-6840. Directly after Flood Brook School on the right( towards Londonderry). Stairs in the back bring you up to 2nd floor porch. Sliding glass doors opens. Bring your food there or call Stacy or Lisa.
The following is a list of ideas and some dates we committed to provide help:
